IT'S A FORD MUSTANG

Ford today announces the all-new Ford Mustang, which transforms the world's best-selling sports coupe with an all-new digital cockpit, an advanced new V8 engine and tougher styling to make this the most enjoyable Mustang ever.

The new Mustang is expected to arrive in Sweden in the second half of 2023. Subscribe to our newsletter for the latest news.

ATHLETIC PERFORMANCE

The new coupe and convertible take the Mustang's athleticism to new heights, including upgraded hardware, software and tuning – plus a new Gen IV 5.0-liter V8 engine for even better response and performance.

The new Mustang GT features a new air induction system with dual air intakes and dual throttle design, which minimizes induction losses and allows for higher flow rates.

Up to six interactive and customizable driving modes optimize performance in a variety of driving conditions: Normal, Sport, Slippery, Drag, Track and a customizable setting with several available profiles, tailored to individual driver preferences.

A MODERN DESIGN

The seventh generation adds a modern touch to a heritage-inspired design, aiming to appeal to the widest customer demographic for Mustang to date.

The low, horizontal forehead across the front of the signature three-part bonnet is aligned with new LED headlamps to create a more impactful front, influenced by the original 1960s design and optimized for pedestrian protection. Its sleek roofline, wide sprint stance and shortened rear overhang are also true to the authentic proportions of the first generation, while the flared rear quarter panels point to power over the wheels in true Mustang style.

For the first time, each model in the new Mustang range has its own unique front end, allowing customers to choose the look that best suits their own personality. GT, the heart of the Mustang brand, features larger grille openings designed to allow increased airflow, reflecting the increase in power and performance. The car's aerodynamics are further optimized with the addition of new hood vents and redesigned front splitter.

DRIVER-FOCUSED, DIGITAL EXPERIENCE

Behind the iconic exterior silhouette of the seventh-generation Mustang is the most technologically advanced, driver-centric cockpit of any Mustang to date, combining the best of past, present and future.

Most noticeable is the removal of the Mustang's traditional dual upper dash, making way for an open, floating and glassed-in center console, loaded with technology.

Behind the new, thicker, flat-bottomed steering wheel sits a 12.4-inch digital instrument cluster with a high degree of customization. In addition, the design of the different driving modes has been redesigned for the new model.

The digital instrument cluster flows seamlessly into a 13.2-inch SYNC 4 screen behind the same integrated glass, angled towards the driver. The ergonomic placement of these screens provides clear visual information and easily accessible controls, which together create an immersive digital experience.

NEW INTERIOR

The next-generation Mustang gets a new interior pattern developed especially for the brand. The car has leather seats and soft plastic over the instrument and door panels, with an all-leather steering wheel.

The center console also includes a wireless mobile phone charger thanks to the extra space provided by moving more functions to the touch screen.

Ford's latest SYNC 4 system is fully compatible with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, which integrates seamlessly with the FordPass app. Like the electric Mustang Mach-E, the new Mustang has wireless update capability via Ford Power-Up.

The latest sound system from B&O delivers crisp sound through 12 speakers and a subwoofer, including the use of Ford's electronic sound enhancement technology to amplify engine sounds directly into the cabin.

MUSTANG CONVERTIBLE AND NEW COLORS

The Mustang convertible continues its legacy of offering maximum freedom. A simple activation with the centered handle opens and closes the fully lined and insulated fabric roof. The compact roof design and independent rear suspension also contribute to substantial luggage space that can hold up to two golf bags.

Under the hood, a new engine cover, black tower-to-tower strut braces, redesigned badging and better cable, fuel and brake lines contribute to an improved aesthetic around the heart of the Mustang. Animated welcome lighting and Mustang-unique welcome screens also greet the driver as he approaches the car.

The new Mustang is launched with 12 color options including three new shades – eye-catching Blue Ember, Vapor Blue and Yellow Splash. Customers can also choose between black or red Brembo calipers, all featuring the Mustang logo, plus a choice of two new 19-inch alloy wheels.

MORE SAFETY FEATURES AND MORE TECHNOLOGY

The seventh-generation coupe and convertible are equipped with next-generation driver assistance features, which, like the Mustang Mach-E, include License Plate Recognition, Intelligent Adaptive Cruise Control with Stop & Go, Lane Centering Assist, Evasive Steer Assist and Reverse Brake Assist. Another key feature is Active Pothole Mitigation, which continuously monitors suspension, body, steering and braking performance and adjusts suspension response accordingly. Stolen Vehicle Services – a FordPass feature that provides 24-hour support in case of theft – is also a novelty in the new Ford Mustang.

Owners can stay connected to their Mustang through the FordPass app in other ways, using remote features such as remote start, door locking and unlocking, start time scheduling, vehicle location, and health and status checks. The FordPass app has important vehicle information available to users, including fuel and oil levels, service history and warranty information.

NEW MUSTANG DARK HORSE PROVIDES ULTIMATE TRACK PERFORMANCE

Mustang Dark Horse debuts alongside the new Mustang GT. The Mustang Dark Horse is the ultimate expression of track capability and the foundation of the brand's motorsport efforts.

Building on the athletic, rugged design and digital experiences of the seventh-generation Mustang, the Dark Horse range delivers the most track-focused precision of any Mustang to date.

At the heart of this new Mustang is a higher output version of the all-new Gen IV V8 engine with new camshafts and unique Dark Horse tuning, with segment-exclusive dual throttle body design for twice the amount of air in the engine for maximum performance. The Dark Horse comes standard with a unique six-speed TREMEC manual transmission with titanium shift ball, available exclusively for this model, or Ford's 10-speed automatic transmission with paddle shifters.
